multiple copies of categories/subcategories

Hi.
I have numerous categories, but want to have the same subcategories within each category. (So if the main categories were Ford, Nissan, Toyota, etc., I would want subcategories under each of them of, say, Red, Blue, Green,...).
Rather than creating Red, Blue, Green over and over again, is there a way to copy and paste the code? If so, where would it be located?

Not through a GUI.
You can use SQL statements to bulk add categories. You would still want to sort them through the category management screen.
On a side note, your users probably don't want to have multiple categories that are just descriptors of a make. Tags might serve you better in thus regard.
