Registration : Roles no all shown

In Section: User ⇒ Registrations... on the bottom of the site there is a Pulldown-Field: Email Confirmation Role, but there are not all Roles visible. Only Member, Administrator and Moderator.

I want to set it to the Role: Confirm Email.
Why this dosn't work?
It's not clever to asign a not confirmed User to the Role "Member"!

You should have at least 5 roles with a default installation. Unconfirmed and Applicant roles seems to be missing from your setup..

  • I have those ones: http://minus.com/l6W9gNBjASawI

And here what I can choose: http://minus.com/lXt9CSCOmg84r

If it helps, I'm attaching the default setup screenshots for both missing roles. You can just replicate them if possible.

    Unconfirmed

    Applicant

Otherwise, I suggest you could try a full or proper upgrade.

  • For Unconfirmed, it works. I've create a new role and the role appear in the dropdown.
But for Applicant, there is still a role... BUT it looks like this: http://minus.com/lDrJ7RVaWkp0i

Problem is, I can't delete the Role, there is no delete-Button.
    Why the settings-fields missing?

The drop down list will only allow roles that have the Garden.SignIn.Allow permission.

EDIT - The delete button only shows up for roles that have 'Deletable' set to true in the db. Some of the default vanilla roles have that set to false.

Ok, but in which table is this setting? I haven't found anything about those roles in the db. And how can it happend, that I doesn't have the checkboxes which rasteron had in his screenshot?
Is it cause of upgrade from 2.0?

Strange: I found the class.roleModel.php... so normaly there have to be an Database-Table Role, but in phpmyadmin I doesn't found such a table!

If you have a running Vanilla, you have a table GDN_Role. Wer suchet, der findet... ;)
