in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8

we are experiencing long refresh times and sometimes no access ... working with the hosting service. In the mean time, we are also getting the following error message from a website monitoring service:

PROBLEM Alert
Failure on receiving 404 error message for one of the web page elements.
Name: xxxxxxxx.net
URL: xxxxxxxx.net
Date/Time: 3-29-2016 11:33:49 (GMT - 4)
Error String: Not Found: "http://xxxxxxx.xxx/jsfiler/topmnu2.js"

Anyone .... what is missing and how can I fix it?

    It might not resolve your perceived problem, but it would remove serious security vulnerabilities.

    The file referenced does not seem to be part of Vanilla core.

    Basic troubleshooting:

    Try with the default theme. If the issue stops, it is a theme based problem; if the problem persists:

    disable all plugins, ad re-enable one at a time.

    Thanks. Default theme is set. I did enable the quote feature recently. I will try the steps you mentioned.
