yaga/design/reactions.css. Look for pseudo-class:hover.I only need the button to like, awesome, the rest is superfluous. Is there an alternative to this plugin?
You can add and remove reactions in the Dashboard: Settings -> Gamification -> Reactions

You can turn off Leaderboard in the Dashboard. Settings -> Gamification -> Settings. If there's still stuff you don't need, you can hide them in the CSS.

Which language package are you using and how did you rename the file? It should match the shortcode used by Vanilla:
If you were using vf_ar for example, you would rename it ar.php
In addition you may need to delete the contents of cache/locale folder for it to reload.

This has already been changed in the beta on github. You can replace your plugins/yaga/design/reactions.css with this one:
