Availability of pre built packages

HI,
I can see that no pre-built packages are provided for the recent versions. Has the pre-built packages been discontinued ?
Also when I downloaded the 2023.015 version from Github it did not get installed. Does it require any specific service to be enabled like node js,yarn ? Do vanilla have proper installation guide.

Vanilla Forums hasn't released a pre-built package in years, and not once since the acquisition by Higher Logic.
A community member has created the most recent build here: https://open.vanillaforums.com/discussion/39333/vanilla-2023-014-open-source-release#latest
Please note it is "use at your own risk" since no one has audited it.
So should we migrate to other platforms?
There will be no way to use vanilla self-hosting.
At least with updates.
So should we migrate to other platforms?
I suggest figuring out a migration path away from Vanilla in 2024.
It's clear that no stakeholders at Higher Logic care about open source.
Nearly all third-party plugin makers ceased work in 2021.
I will be surprised if this forum is still online at the end of 2024.
A shame, I loved vanilla.
Thanks :(
discourse.org can be a great option and have migration plugin from vanilla to discourse. :)
Flarum is a good drop-in replacement. It uses PHP and has a robust third-party plugin ecosystem, and is managed by a non-profit.
