There's some fucking idiots on Digg. "I can't see the AJAX!" Learn what AJAX is before you start spouting off you dumb twats. God that place fucks me off.
Digg makes me angry. I swear the people that comment there are the same people that comment on Yahoo!'s news articles. According to the leet Digg users, there is no AJAX, Vanilla is bug ridden, hideous, comes with no extensions, and OMFGAWD theres no mouse-over post-previews!!!11
Ignorant fools.
Take Back Web Discussions, I like it.
/me nods in agreement.
It took me a long time to find a forum that does NOT look like phpBB and does not have a lot of bloat. Vanilla fits the bill perfectly.
A LOT of developers out there forget two things: first that there are still people who use dial-up, and, second, that people may actually visit a forum to find information or participate in a discussion, and don't want to sift through dozens of forums and sub-forums to do it.
And as for the the people on Digg complaining about the colour scheme....edit the freakin' style sheet, just as you would with any other forum. Sheesh!
Thanks, Mark, for what could possibly be the best forum out there!
They reason they think it's not AJAX is because Diggs use of AJAX is more blatant. I bet they don't realise that when you "digg" a post it's using AJAX to change the thumbs up or the number. Peonic brained cunts.
The only thing that bothers me about the comments at digg is that they get so rude and confrontational about it. If you don't like Vanilla, that's fine. It's really not for everyone, and that's okay. It's certainly not trying to replace all other forums on the web. It's just something new. Another option.

It's sort of a take on that old firefox "take back the web" logo...

There's no reason to get upset about it
