I tried the IE7 install several times and could not get it to install. Maybe if I really need it, I'll try to wade through all the methods MS gives to try and fix the install. Not worth spending any more time on this since I use FF.
There isn't a star in that line of CSS that when I look (at Vanilla 1.0.1). So, it looks like the child selector is being used to hide css from IE6. I believe that IE7 will see that line of css code however.

Um... I might have left the * after commenting / uncommenting it.
