How do I add google analytics? There are instructions I found when I searched the forum, but they are from 2006 or something..

I wonder the same. Cant find any footer file.
Would it be a good place to put it in the AboutVanilla panel in Vanilla1??

This requires creating custom HTML and views. It's very briefly explained in Part 2 here:

I'm sorry I'm not of more help, but I haven't done it yet myself.

Oh... I assumed Vanilla 2. I don't think it's that complicated I just don't know enough to explain it succinctly yet.
I don't know V1 at all though, sorry.

in Vanilla 1 there is a footer.php file in the themes folder, I haven't tried, but should go there imho

I tried the addon for google and it doesn't seem to be working... I think I don't understand how to change the new code... can anyone explain this a little more, please?
