Re: Getting error struck with that... can anyone help me please
as a side note the reason for these magic method is to be able to trigger events before an after. @salmanshafiq a tip: Instead of title like "Getting error struck with that... can anyone help me please" Create descriptive title that contain a summary of problem. Also no one will search for "error" and "please help me". for… -
Re: Tutorial: How to Enable a debug log and collect debugging information.
Thanks for the instructions, they will surely be useful. And also thanks for mentioning the Logger plugin, about which I would like to add one note. The Logger plugin now incorporates all the premium features, free of charge. It allows to send log messages to remote log aggregators, such as Loggly and Papertrail. If you… -
Nothing I change in the default.master.tpl makes any difference. Even if fully deleted.
Trying to make changes to the master.default.tpl, mainly to the footer and nothing has any effect at all. I even deleted every instance of the file and the pages still look exactly the same. Thought it was some caching thing but it does the same on any browser or computer/phone. What am I missing? Does the site overwrite… -
Accessibility concerns re email, Lynx, JAWS
I'm considering migrating a large forum of around 2000 people from Facebook to Vanilla. Some of my users are visually impaired, and use a variety of different programs to browse the internet. One person uses Lynx, which is a text-only browser that's easier for her to read. Another uses JAWS, which is a popular screen… -

Re: Trying to Change Domain of Forum
You see only notices, so there is no need for a fix. Such hints are for developers so that they know what to fix in order to ensure the script will run with future PHP versions where some "features" will be removed. You don't need to care about those notices. Take a look at your conf/config.php and search for… -
Re: Is there any SEO Manager plugin or application in Vanilla Forum? Like: Yoast SEO is in wordpress.
I was talking about the javascript minification plugin. For this purpose, I am currently using PageSpeed module. However, I could see a SEO problem: meta descriptions and meta titles are the same on all topics list pages (/categories/***/p2, /categories/***/p3, etc.). Otherwise, I did not find a good sitemap plugin that… -

Re: Plugin Idea: Heatmap Module
Cool idea, the implementation like it's done on esoTalk forums looks really cool. Here is a screen so everybody knows what we are talking about. I can support in CSS if it's needed. But first the idea should be honored with short usability appearance talk. Especially mobile could benefit from a smart integration of a kind… -
Re: Anybody have a forum? few quick questions.
Are you using InnoDB tables? That's fairly crucial. Also, default search will not go well on a very large site; you have to be using Sphinx for that. In terms of performance optimizations, in broad strokes the next to look at would be memcached and APC, then Varnish. For what it's worth, I don't think the difference…
