I have many plug-ins installed and my update through simple scripts was without error. It's a very good way to keep updated.
It would be nice to have an update button similar to wordpress.
If you disable your plug-in & themes folders (rename) prior to updating, this may eliminate any clashes. After update rename your folders back and refresh your site.

Thanks. I have a running forum with 15K posts. I wanst to migrate from phpbb3.0.9 to vanilla2. Is there any tool to redirect the previous urls? otherwise all the pages indexed in google will be lost
@whu606
there is no such mention of redirection. I will have to wait for google to index again. That is a year of work undone. Is anyone thinking of some script that will help doing that?
The importer generally accounts for 301 redirects from your forum product. They are listed under "Routes" in the Dashboard after an import. Test it out.
Badges and Reactions are a hosted-only feature currently.
I would be highly interested in a Badges and Reactions plug-in/add-on for the not-hosted-by-vanilla forum. (Our board insists that the forum be hosted on our servers.)

Minify broke it once, as did Twitter Feeds.

Minify has never worked for me. I tried in 2.0.17 and 2.0.18.
Am I missing some kind of configuration?
Minify works for me but - did you try it on localhost or somewhere live?

I would really recommend a overhaul on the User Profiles over the next few releases.
If i have a hosting provider, can i use vanilla for free?
@indianfootynet
Yes you can.
Vanilla offer to host forums, but the package is open source and free.

I think this will help you with that: http://vanillaforums.com/blog/help/importing-data/

I'd suggest starting another question, specifically asking about this.
I'd be almost sure that the Vanilla guys have thought of this, and done something about it.
Does this release include badges and reactions? I just got an email notification saying this was released, but I can't find it in the addons.

2.0.18.3 has been released.
Please upgrade to 2.0.18.3 if you use the Flagging plugin.
@Lincoln
There is a problem with canonical link rel in 2.0.18.2
Could you have a look on it?
