Hang on, just little over a month and you guys have set up a wiki and added so much information already? Impressive!
Like OP mentions such wikis are essential to communities built around web software packages and they're always my first port of call for information to learn how to work with them.
I'm new to Vanilla so literally just learning as I go from the ground up and though i've got little experience of the community it would be an ideal thing for Vanilla.org to adopt as a permanent feature of their website - perhaps linked from their documentation?
If it covers the basics and more people can find it easily and more can contribute it will continue to flourish in the manner it has. Once i've got to grips with Vanilla i'd love to be able to add some things myself. I'll learn to walk before I can run though
Great work guys!
setting it up was easy, @jongos did the heavy lifting.
If you get the inclination, could you write a tutorial on something like this?
how to pass a user created variable or array that is captured in one event
and passing to another event. The reason I need to pass variable and/or array is because it gets zeroed out by interim events, so it can not be re-read from any current objects or database.
There is a good thread on this topic. I was planning on capturing that into the wiki soon. I've not had much time to do any wiki work (even my forum has had to continue without much of my interaction). I'll try to do it soon though.
This is awesome, and is going to be an awesome resource for me. I'm starting a large Wordpress/Vanilla project, and I'm glad to see that there will be another resource for me to use other than Vanilla's documentation.
@hbf, I will! I look forward to being an active part of this community, as I feel like I'll be getting to know Vanilla inside and out over the next few months.
I cannot edit the /docs site, so can't do that. Let's just create an awesome documentation site first, before we link from the actual /docs site to the awesome documentation site, ok :-)
thx. You have to comment more frequently - so I can click on your signature! you're signature is not at the top of the page as is the announcement. Just seemed like an easy thing to do.
I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.

I don't understand what you need with an url in the title of the page? There's a link to the exact same address in my signature...
