I want something that works for me. I don't want something that will require me to add several hours to my workday just to get it working.

Did vanilla work for you when you were at vanillaforums.com. Or did your troubles just start when you started maintaining it yourself. If they started when you became the maintainer, perhaps the hosted solution at vanillaforums.com is the solution.

I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.
