  • ack! you fed him.
  • that spanglish version of the Cocunut CMS looks very nice
  • There must be some more nice logins about the place... keep hunting people!
  • Found at DesignDemo: AJAX Login Systems and AJAX Signup Pages.

"odeo's Log in widget" looks like a good idea.
  • ok, that does it. I have to finally ask. What file do I need to edit to get a nice login screen?

Guessing the people.php one? Not sure so don't take my word for it! I'm going to snazz mine up as well.

edit: er people.css in the styles folder that is. :)

maybe. nice thread anyhow, love to see these logins. myspace is the WORST. sure it's free but I get pummeled with ads, oh well, a tradeoff heh.
  • thanks laserfloyd - yes, people.css was my best guess as well re the file to edit. I love tweaking, so much fun lies ahead. :) I haven't seen myspace's login - i just don't get it, ie why so many love myspace. To me it looks like a monstrosity...a dog's dinner....anarchy...maybe that is why the young uns like it!
  • Well, it's addictive, though not as much as WoW was ;)

Don't wanna go off topic though. The people.css file is a good place to start now that I looked at it. I'm a novice extreme though so that's about as far as I'm gonna go with advice :P
  • I'll be fine messing the with css, but how do I add info (text) to the login page? I'm not too good with php... I just want to add a div that has a little information for parents and students that visit... Can I do that right in the php?
  • You'd need to do that in the theme files (but copy the file in question into the /vanilla/ folder before you edit it)
  • Which files would I edit? The people ones? And can I just add divs in and change it that way?
  • Whichever files you needed to. For login pages they'll be people ones under the /themes/ directory yes. And yeah you can do what you like aslong as you leave the necessary php intact.

  • OK, does anyone know how to get the same type of login pop-up box as odeo? Is that javascript or some such? Viewed the source and can not figure out how they achieved this login box.
  • This brought back a flood of memories: http://pages.prodigy.net/rdbrownmsb/ (there is no un/pw necessary... just click the ENTER)
