timeline for new documentation - broken images - wiki site down

Hi there,

With regard to the new documentation process and broken images:
http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/26377/vanilla-forums-official-documentation "Does this"
http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/26613/broken-images
http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/26459/broken-images-all-around-the-vanilla-site

1) Does this explain why the images are also broken in the plugins pages? It seems that sometime they work most of the time they don't. I feel like I am missing a lot of information for proper setup.

2) The wiki (http://vanillawiki.homebrewforums.net/) is referred to a great deal, but I have not been able to access it for the last week that I have been trying. Any idea what is going on here? Something I should be doing differently?

Cheers.

@hbf is the kind soul that pays/operates the hardware for the community wiki. He is currently traveling and will be able to fix it after he returns home on Sunday.

So the timeline for the community documentation is sometime next week.

The official documentation is going to be primarily for the hosted version and the developer, IIRC. I can't tell you what the eta is on that (not a Vanilla dev), but I personally started writing some articles for submission.

As always thanks for your fast and helpful responses @hgtonight‌

Just to clarify, does this mean the the open source folk will not have access to the "official" documentation?

    based on what hgtonight indicated:

it seems to mean pretty much what it says.

the documentation will be geared for hosted version.
documentation will be geared for developers.

it says nothing about access or restrictions.

I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.

@peregrine , Thank you for the clarification. I could see a couple of meanings, dependent upon the interpretation.

I wont re-open the can of worms that I have seen regarding the badges/reactions exclusivity to the hosted version, but was wondering if some strange reason the "official" documentation would follow suit.

As an aside, if you are looking for badges, reactions, and ranks for the OS version, check out Yaga: http://vanillaforums.org/addon/yaga-application

@peregrine: My favorite quote in regard to the badges/reactions discussion: I hear ya. And thank you for the offline wiki version link! Cool service I was not aware of.

This subject has beaten like a dead horse. Your arm is going to get tired and the >horse is not going to get up.
reminds me of the title of this song. Move Along, Get Along

@hgtonight, Ahhh, somhow I missed that one. Looking forward to giving it a spin! I also looking forward to giving peregrine's badges and reactions.. And happy to donate if I end up using it.

@Lincoln‌ , I hear there is some good stuff down the pike! I have downloaded 2.1b3 and love it. Looking forward to the "better" wysiwyg option as well. Though, you were likely referring to the documentation.

    Cheers.
