        display: none !important;
    }

in your custom.css of your theme.

I would like to remove the RSS image from my category listings but I'm having difficulty.

I'm running Vanilla 2.1.3 using the Bootstrap theme and I have tried adding these edits to both custom.css AND to custom_simplex.css (my selected theme 'option'). I have also cleared the forum cache by removing the .ini files from the cache directory and I have cleared my browser cache.

What could I be missing? Thanks in advance.

Please post a link to the page and I can tell you what you need to do. The Bootstrap theme uses different class names for elements than other themes or the default.

Thanks for the super quick response! A few questions:

1. Should I remove the other attempts from custom.css and custom_simplex.css?
2. Which .css file should get this code? (the custom or custom_simplex)
3. This should remove the icon from the category page, correct?

Actually , the file you would add this code to in bootstrap is the LESS file. But I think this should work if you add it to the custom_simplex.css and remove the other stuff you added since it is not doing anything.

Please pardon my ignorance; I'm new to Vanilla but learning. I see two .less files in the less directory. - styles.less & vanilla-bootstrap.less. Then I see many more in the less > themes > (including the simplex.less).

Which .less file should I add it to?

I will remove all others that are not working from the .css files. To note, I did add your solution to the custom_simplex.css, cleared forum cache, and browser cache with no result.

That theme has a bit of a learning curve.

Funny , you are having problems.

add to bottom of custom.css in bootstrap/design folder.

either vrijvlinder suggested:

    span.MItem.RSS{
    display:none!important;
    }

or this,

span.RSS {
display:none;
}

both work perfectly.

Yea but you are only removing the image with that code. He wants to remove the link too.
So the way to go is to remove the span.

It works fine but he could not see the changes.

I added it to the top, middle, bottom, cleared cache, refreshed, threw up, and I still can't get it... ARGHH!

Firefox and chrome have it . Your problem is common that is why those are very useful.
