There is virtually no difference

grep is your friend.
Even though the changes have been minimal, wouldn't it make sense to update? Is there anything preventing me from updating the library on my own installation? [I don't see anything that would be problematic.]

@divorcetheworld Because we no longer actively use the library. It is included purely for backwards compatibility with older installs.
//edit: I'm speaking of our most-recent codebase; I'm less clear if it's still in use in 2.1. It will be a moot point after 2.2 is released.
