    -- Ok, I just about died laughing when I read that they decided to call their camera on the MacBooks iSight -- ?? All their cameras have been called iSight. Always. EDIT: Beat me to it.

    Woo Hoo!! We're ten dollars into it (thank you Nathan :). There's no stopping us now. And hey, if anyone wants to donate more than ten dollars, I guess that would be okay too.

    While I am not an eccentric billionaire, I'll throw in another $20 for good measure. Now, if we budget for the high range MacBook (so he can get any one he wants), which is $1,650 CAD we need 165 people at $10 CAD each to pitch in (and there is probably a cut from PayPal too, but Mark can cover that :P )

    Take out my $30, we need:

    162 Donations!

    -- You've gotta know I'm feeling really lame for cheering this on :) -- Who cares? I think you deserve it, and it is about time the board got you a present of some description. I was going to get a MacBook pro at the end of this month, but now, I think I will go with this option: - 1 Black MacBook - One Mac mini (for home stereo + DVD) - One digital receiver + amp. - Surround sound speakers. If I get all of that, I am only going to be about $200 over the MacBook Pro I was going to get, and I have a Powermac G5 that I can do any heavy lifting or major graphics work on anyway. I mainly use my current Laptop (iBook) for text baed stuff anyway (coding and writing), so I think that could be better.

    I would give the excuse of my being a college student has caused my funds to be limited but instead I think go with when the good paying summer job begins, the first money out of my pocket goes towards a donation. I just hope you don't have a MacBook by that time. *inserts the :-/ emoticon*

    I'll donate a few $ later. If that kid can start a blog called "Convert me" and get a free Mac then I'm sure someone who's actually doing something for people will get one.

    That'd be a worthy idea. Maybe we could just pull that one off – I'm in with 30€ - I don't think that's too heavy (and it makes for more $s too) :-)

    Must get Verified! They put a limit on how much I could donate. Probably for the best really. Wait till my missus finds out! Must also get job! I put in some, but Vanilla and Mark really deserve more, so I'll try another donation later. Thanks for all of your hard work Mark (and others too, of course). Thinking about it, maybe this MacBook should be for your missus Mark, seeing as you already have a spanking new Vaio, as I recall ; ) Unless she is supa-human, I'm sure she must pull a bit of the old "It's Vanilla or me!" shenanigans (Mind, she may have her own software company, I don't know)! Of course, you might make a little extra and get away with a surprise Nano to appease her. Then you'll be able to keep the MacBook too. You'll have to sort all of this out, or I fear there'll be friction in that house!!!
