You know you can check for yourself right?
On github compare the master branch and the 2.2 branch, you'll see the commits which are the difference between the 2 branches. Basically the master branch is 'latest production', but really really beta
No. I'm using the same version for create new themes and I can change them. And I also can enable and disable the plugins included in this version. Perhaps you something wrong with your server or you have something misconfigured in your vanilla installation.

@peregrine
I put it on my local install yesterday and it seemed OK, but I haven't added my themes etc. yet.
Then I'm gonna install 2.2. GIT release to view the new features...
@whu606
which link did you use
https://github.com/vanillaforums/Garden/tree/release/2.2
or
https://github.com/vanillaforums/Garden/
and what does the version number say in your index.php
2.2a1.4
or 2.2
just curious. As https://github.com/vanillaforums/Garden/ has an index file of 2.2 (which didn't seem to work for me after download)
however, https://github.com/vanillaforums/Garden/tree/release/2.2 - the zip here did work and reflects 2.2a1.4
I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.
@peregrine
Hi
It's 2.2a1.4
which I got from : https://github.com/vanillaforums/Garden/tree/release/2.2
Is there any significant difference between these two links?

Thank you so much for your quick answers. I'm currently installing this version on localhost to view the differences. Thank you.
So... it's time to document those differences on the Vanilla Wiki if tou could, please. Refer to the differences and then to the commits on github

Registered at Vanilla Wiki. Where do you post that?
there are a lot of cool plugins here. e.g.
CustomizeText (takes the fun out of editing definitions files manually and makes it easy
https://github.com/vanillaforums/Addons/tree/master/plugins
I assume we can use them if we get them functioning in our forum

@elwizard http://vanillawiki.homebrewforums.net/index.php/Beta_Release would be a good place to start.

Weird this! In my server I have got the same issue, but not on localhost. Checking out that solution posted by @vrijvlinder!
Shouldn't we thread the postings of those using 2.2 switch over over to a new discussion here?
This discussion is for Vanilla 3.-1omega , 2.2 is old shoe ....where have you been?
