haha - 17 is just too big for a "lap" top, imho. I've got this 15" widescreen xbrite sony and it is just the right size for me. I reckon a 15" mac will be the same.
The reason I decided to go bigger in the first place was because after seeing the macbooks in real life at the mac store, I came to the conclusion that it's just too small for me to ever use it for anything other than testing web pages. If I ever wanted to seriously try OSX as a development platform, I was going to need more screen real-estate. So. Yeah. 15 inches of PC dumping magic.
Agreed on the 17" being too big for a laptop thing. The 15.4" widescreen on this is as big as I'd like to go for a portable thing. And with a nice res it works pretty well.
I still need to check out a macbook IRL to see if i recon i could live with the size - i dont use my pc for much hardcore stuff so i might give it a shot. *shrug.
Laptops arent designed by people in the uk. There are fatties in the UK admittedly but that's due to the american influence. imo fat people should be taxed more.
I'm not. I cant put on weight for the life of me. It'l all hit me when i'm middle aged and bald though. Things are only offensive if you take them to be. Everyone knows a stereotype is a true representation of everyone in the labelled group. I've never once seen a thin american or a fat englishman.
I live in Canada, and I've lived in and visited various places in the US, and I can say for certain that this generalization is true, and it applies to *all* of North America.
Fatbooks?
But seriously, we had a documentary here in Finland in tv that was called "Fat England" and I assure you, there are some pretty fat english, and according to the documentary, you will only gradually get fatter and fatter and it's partially thanks to your below average school chow, most of the school kids eat fastfood daily in school because of it and poor discipline.
But enough of the big people. We demand more talk on the Fatbook!

So whats our new target?
Yeah no fatties in the UK, I guess.
