How do I show the Gallery as a option on my forum? If I go directly to the path forum/gallery I get a screen with Picture Galleries but clicking does nothing.
Yes you need to make me a test account with admin credencials and send me the login info via private message here. I will take a look at it later coz I need to go out now.
Ok , you need to disable the plugin and delete it because I don't know what you did.
Then reupload the plugin but before you enable it remove the word and slash manager/ from line 64 in the gallery.php file in the views folder.
You need to set permissions in the dashboard to upload and download . Before you do anything you need to create an album and then the upload link appears.
I tested it and made a test album, it works but the link to the gallery is doubled somehow.. not sure if that is a result of your error or mine...
I disabled the plugin and deIeted the directory. I re downloaded and uploaded the code to my server. removed the manager/ from galery.php. I enabled the plugin.
but I still get the doubling of the forum on the Gallery tab.
I have seen this problem before I think it was on Word Press but I don't remember what the cause was.
I Installed Vanilla 2.2 on my test domain. Installed the Galleries plugin. I can now create a album but when I upload a picture I get a not found when I go back to view it. Also I can only find permissions for upload not download in the roles permissions.
Ok let me explain that this plugin works differently when your forum is installed in the root as in yoursite.com/, if that is where your forum is, then you do need the manager/
However if the forum is in a subdirectory as in yoursite.com/forum then you do not need the manager/ in that line.
The permissions are upload and download. Those need to be selected if you want it to work. I enabled them when I was in your forum to be able to test the gallery function.
The only problem I see is the link to the main gallery, will check that out...
Here is a copy I made with the changes, Urls may double if a link has a slash somewhere wrong.
For example Url('gallery') and Url('/gallery') , the second one could double the url depending on where the forum is installed.
Please test this second one I attached Galleries-1 for your site that is in yoursite.com/forum coz the first one had an error y missed.. it should all work now.
This plugin does not affect the original picture, it must have been that way? I have not run into that problem.. hmmm Did you take the picture or upload using a phone ?
I think it came from a IPAD. I saved it as a .png and that made it upright. I have had this problem before putting pictures on my WEBSITE. Uually I just rotate them and put them back but this did not work for these. Also how can I delete the test Album from the forum? Can I just delete the folder?

This plugin depends on the permission to upload and download in the dashboard. You would go to roles and permissions and set the permission to upload and download.

You can go to the uploads folder then picgals and find the album and delete it.
